- How will the construction industry look like in 2020? What role does digitalization play?
BIM will be more and more relevant, but not the only solution. Messenger services, payment methods, real time dashboards. These are just a few examples of how digitalization will change working styles. The construction industry is realizing that more than one holistic solution is needed to work successfully. - What is your business model? What makes you and your company unique?
cunio is a communication platform for all stakeholders in the real estate industry, with the aim to make building management more satisfying by using the latest technology. We are unique because the features and use cases are designed with our founder's real estate industry knowledge. Furthermore, we are the first to provide a feedback system with added value for every stakeholder. - What is your company vision (5 years)?
The real estate industry is realizing how simple building management can be. Every stakeholder will be satisfied about the results of our feedback system. No satisfaction is today, high satisfaction with cunio is tomorrow. Also, cunio will be an internationally active company. Our success at the mipim start-up competition opened the door for us internationally. - What does your revenue model look like?
We have a B2B business model. The landlord is paying a fee per flat per month for our service. - How is your company funded?
We did our homework ;) No disclosure here. Thank you for understanding. - As a start-up, what is your next goal? What partners do you need?
Market penetration.
We have our own sales team, but having a partner there could help to maximize our targets. - Who are your key clients?
Real estate companies. - What are the biggest challenges your clients are currently facing?
I think the biggest challenge is to understand what is behind digitalization. Online marketing, digital marketplaces and the idea of connecting stakeholders on a platform are, from my point of view, the main challenges. - What options do you offer to potential clients to face their challenges (e.g. workshops, coachings)?
What we do is giving a market overview and then find out what their pain point is. From that point everything else runs quite "easily". To say it in other words - understanding the requirements is the most challenging part. - What prerequisites (e.g. infrastructure, trained personnel, etc.) do your clients need to bring?
Openminded colleagues. That is the most important thing. Also an understanding of their own pain points is very helpful.
