What you will be doing

As a (Senior) Project Manager at Roland Berger focusing on automotive, you get to work on projects which offer direct exposure to innovation on a global scale. As a (Senior) Project Manager at Roland Berger you will:

  • Take the lead for modules in larger projects (typically leading three to five consultants), with a specific focus on automotive.
  • Coach and develop the consultants in your project teams.
  • Take the lead on client contact and relationships.
  • Work closely with industry and functional experts at Roland Berger.
  • Contribute to Roland Berger’s knowledge development by capturing insights and drawing lessons from client work.
  • Participate in office-wide projects (e.g. in-depth studies on current topics) that further develop Roland Berger or its thinking in a specific area or sector.

Do you recognize yourself in the following qualifications, competencies and skills?

  • You have completed an academic university education (i.e. WO).
  • You have between seven and ten years of experience in strategy consulting, specifically concentrating on automotive, and/or in a strategic/operational role at a company within the automotive industry, with prior involvement in strategic project-based work being highly advantageous.
  • You can think analytically and structure arguments clearly.
  • You work with precision.
  • You are open-minded.
  • You have experience managing others and delegating work to more junior team members.
  • You are familiar with/experienced in (financial) modeling (Excel), visualizing presentations (PowerPoint) and storytelling.
  • You have good oral, written and presentation skills and an excellent command of the English language.

The application process consists of three parts. Firstly, a selective cognitive assessment that is conducted online and monitored via Microsoft Teams. If you complete the assessment with a satisfactory result, you will be invited to the First round of interviews. This round includes two case interviews and a personal interview. Following a positive outcome from these interviews, candidates will progress to the Final Day. The Final Day involves two (case) interviews with different Partners and/or Principals, as well as a written case with a presentation component. At the conclusion of the Final Day, you will receive feedback on the outcome of your application process.
