Applying at Roland Berger Amsterdam

If you’re interested in a career with us and think your background and personality fit our office, we invite you to take the first step by submitting your cover letter and a detailed CV. We want to know why you want to work with us and why you're the ideal candidate for the position. If we also see a match, we will invite you for an introductory interview and case study. Read on to find out how the application process works.

The first step

In your cover letter, we would like to hear why you want to join us and why you're the person we're looking for. Please also include a detailed CV, including a transcript of your grades from high school and university. You can submit your application via our online application form. Our response time is usually within two weeks. We recommend that you apply about six months before your desired start date. If you're applying for an internship, the process is faster, and you can start within four weeks. Our internships are popular, so the sooner you apply, the better your chances are of getting a spot.

What's next

If we’re impressed by your application, we will want to get to know you better, both personally and professionally. We will then have conversations with you about your personal and professional experiences and expectations. Who are you? What motivates you? Can you bring out the best in people? How do you deal with feedback? What does your ideal career look like? Why do you want to become a consultant? And why at Roland Berger? We will also discuss a case study with you, one based on our daily practice. The case study shows us your problem-solving skills and tests your creativity and intelligence. It also gives us an impression of your proficiency with numbers and your ability to structure and analyze work. There is no right way to solve a case study. The important thing is that we see you in action.

If your first assessment goes well, we will invite you to the Final Day. For this final assessment, you will be interviewed by two of our partners and write a case study. This last part covers all aspects of a project. You will answer several questions within a certain time. You will also be given a limited amount of data, which will challenge you to make assumptions. You will then present your findings to a panel of four consultants of Roland Berger Amsterdam.
