Akio Ito
Akio Ito joined Roland Berger in 2016 and is a Senior Partner in the firm’s Munich office. Akio started his consulting career in 1996, focusing on industrial goods and automotive supply industries. He joined ThyssenKrupp AG in 2003 as a Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Organization. In 2006, Akio became a Managing Director at ThyssenKrupp Umformtechnik GmbH and Chief Restructuring Officer for ThyssenKrupp Sofedit SAS. In 2009, Akio joined Hellenic Shipyards SA as President of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. In 2011, he rejoined ThyssenKrupp AG as a Head of Corporate Programs. At the beginning of 2014, he became Senior Director and Member of the German Management Team of an American consulting firm..
Akio graduated from the University of Karlsruhe in Germany as an Industrial Engineer. He also studied as an exchange student in Business Administration in Lyon, France.
