Heiko Ammermann
Heiko Ammermann is a Senior Partner at Roland Berger’s Frankfurt Office, heading the global Civil Economics and Infrastructure team. Heiko joined Roland Berger in 2005 and has more than 16 years of strategic management consulting experience in projects at the interface of the private and public sectors. He has developed a strong background in various segments of the transportation industry, especially in Aviation, Rail and Road, Public Transport, Logistics and Tourism. Beyond Transportation, strategic infrastructure projects in key sectors such as energy, transportation and ICT, as well as large-scale complex technology and construction projects in industry complement Heiko's experience. Heiko is also an expert in commercialization strategies and infrastructure development for innovative, low-carbon technologies.
Together with his team, Heiko has supported numerous complex infrastructure projects along the entire value chain. His focus areas include the development and validation of project financing models, the set-up and organizational restructuring of project entities and the management of complex planning, permitting and implementation processes.
Heiko advises a wide range of clients both in the private and public sectors, including project companies and developers, infrastructure operators, SPVs, infrastructure funds, public & private financing institutions, large industry players, EU institutions and national governments. He has extensive international project experience covering Western, Central & Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
He studied Computer Science at the Technical University of Dresden, Economics at the Free University of Berlin and also holds an MBA degree.
The future megachallenge in strategic infrastructure will be the management of megaprojects that cannot be mastered with off-the-shelf tools.
