Jean-Michel Pinto

Jean-Michel has over 15 years of experience in strategy consulting, with a primary focus on the manufacturing industry. He has worked extensively with large electrical equipment manufacturers in the context of the energy transition before shifting his focus primarily to the automotive sector. Prior to joining Roland Berger, he led the automotive consulting practice in France and the global Automotive Sustainability and Climate practice at another leading strategy consulting firm.

Throughout his career, Jean-Michel has primarily supported large industrial groups and conglomerates—especially automotive OEMs and tier-1 suppliers—in adapting their business models to navigate rapid industry transitions. His expertise spans a wide range of sustainability-related strategic projects, including the design and implementation of sustainable transformation programs and the development of circular strategies and business cases.

Jean-Michel graduated in Industrial Engineering from École Centrale de Paris and holds two Master’s degrees in Economics from the London School of Economics and Université Paris Dauphine. A French national with extensive international experience, he has worked primarily in France, as well as in the UK, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, and the US. He speaks French, English, and conversational Italian.
