Thor is a Principal in Roland Berger's Energy and Sustainability teams. He has over a decade of relevant experience, advising clients across sectors, including utilities, investors, developers, airlines, and OEMs, with a focus on clean hydrogen, sustainable fuels, renewables, energy storage, and electrification.

Thor has led projects on sourcing sustainable aviation fuels, developing growth strategies for clean hydrogen and sustainable fuel companies, and guiding automotive OEMs through the energy transition. He has also led work for electric utilities and investors on storage, renewables, and broader transition strategies, as well as on corporate sustainability initiatives. Additionally, he has led project teams that, for several years, have annually produced the highly regarded Levelized Cost of Storage reports (now part of LCOE+). His work centers on helping companies seize opportunities in the global energy transition and achieve sustainability goals.

Thor holds an MBA in finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management and BS degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Iceland. He is also credited as an inventor on a patent for a novel biogas production process.
